Yesterday, 8 November 2025, new applicants noticed that the appointment booking option in the INPOL system suddenly stopped working. Once again, the Warsaw Immigration Office made no official announcement before taking action — leaving hundreds of foreigners confused and unable to schedule their visits.
As of now, no statement or explanation has been released, but based on internal discussions and previous experience, we expect more information to appear around Wednesday, 12 November 2025.
Why Is This Happening?
The most probable reason behind this disruption is the ongoing implementation of the new MOS 2 system — a digital platform designed to replace or significantly update the current INPOL system. The goal of MOS 2 is to allow foreigners to submit their residence applications online, similar to how the system already functions in countries like Portugal.
However, that “online first, fingerprints later” model isn’t necessarily faster. In Portugal, the waiting time for fingerprint submission stretched to almost one year, which raises concerns that a similar situation might unfold in Poland once the new system goes live.
A Bit of Background
When INPOL was first introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, foreigners could only apply by post, and later the Immigration Office would assign a date and time for fingerprint submission. That process was slow, but at least predictable.
Now, with INPOL being gradually phased out, we might be seeing a return to that postal-based or hybrid online-offline model, at least temporarily. Our team has already seen similar patterns emerging in recent cases.
What to Expect Next
We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and provide verified updates as soon as official communication from the Immigration Office appears.
For now, we advise applicants not to panic, not to create duplicate applications, and wait for further clarification on how appointments will be processed in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned — we’ll share the next update as soon as the Immigration Office makes its move.
